== Problems with parser tags ==

Hi, there seems to be an incompatibility between parser tags like <gallery>, and the Tiny MCE editor

If I understand correctly the documentation of that extension, it shouldn't be more complicated than just adding those elements in the $wgExt_valid_elements variable in LocalSettings.php

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Cite/Cite.php or an equivalent extension would be nice to have.

I'm working on this issue now. It is installed without problem, so I'm verifying whether it works fine. Thanks for your waiting.

Hi Diana, I just tested it (because Eli wants to use it), and it doesn't seem to be functional at the moment... The tags get removed for one (I suspect it happens when the WYSIWYG editor loads the page). Bypassing the WYSIWYG editor allows for manually inserting the tags, but then, only the citations are displayed, not the content of the article.

Hi Nando, I got a notice of it from Eli today :) Thanks for verifying the problem. I'll work on it asap.

Maybe we need to extend the countermeasures... something like http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SpamBlacklist ?

Hi, Nando, thanks for your suggestion. I'll look into it.

Hi, Nando, the tools you proposed looks greate. Many of wiki sites are using it. It has been installed on eteRNA wiki too. Thanks always!

== Suggestion ==

Hello Diana, if I may, I think it's time for me to suggest that you make me a sysop on this wiki. To be honest, I was hoping that other worthy contributors would show up, but so far, I believe that I'm the only one who would qualify for what is described on http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Assigning_permissions

The level of spamming has increased lately (it's the third time that I'm blanking the page of that Ezra spammer), and you are very busy with other tasks... This seems like a reasonable choice, specially considering that it can be reverted any time you want.

Hi Nando, sorry for late response. Really glad to hear the suggestion from you! Sure, but I can give you sysop rights partially (only deleting/ moving page and blocking user) for now. I'll let you know when I'm done. Hope that you would understand this circumstances. And if someone you know are interested in managing this site with us, please let me know. At the end, I very appreciate your involvement all the time, deep concern about this wiki as well. Thanks!
