Shotgun Sequencing

Shotgun Sequencing was one of the techniques used to finish the sequencing of the human genome in the Human Genome Project. Basically the genome is fragmented into pieces and the pieces are sequenced. Then the pieces of the puzzle is put together again, using computer programs.
