RESEARCH

Wiki

  • Research the EteRNA Wiki for existing resources before posting to the community.
  • Browse, or use the Search field at the left of the screen.

Forums

  • Review existing posts in the EteRNA Forums. Take note of any details, solutions, screenshots, or links that can be used as examples.
  • Browse, use the Search field at the top right, or use the "Ask a question" box in the top center of the screen.

GitHub

  • Check EteRNA GitHub to see whether the issue already been reported or resolved. Take note of links to relevant issues.
  • Browse, or use the Search field at the top left-center of the screen.

 

COMMUNICATE

Chat

  • Share key points & discover solutions in EteRNA Chat. Always be kind, patient, and helpful. 
  • Login or Register at the bottom left. Then you can post in Chat, which is accessible at the top right.

Groups

  • Dive deeper into specific interests by collaborating in EteRNA Groups.
  • Login or Register at the bottom left. Then you can search & browse Groups through the Community drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Forums

  • Make a post in the EteRNA Forums giving examples, and critical details using this Issue Template.
  • Login at the top right ( requires EteRNA Registration, see above ). Then you can post in the Forums using the box in the top center of the screen
  • Choose from tabs "Share an idea", "Report a problem", or "Give praise".

 

TRACK

Roadmap

  • Keep granular issue details in the EteRNA Forums up to date. Don't forget to use this Issue Template!
  • Enter global issue details into this Issue Roadmap for an eagle-eye reference of current Status, Priority, etc...
  • PSA: When editing this Wiki, note that you must Login or Register at the top right, or your IP address will be publicly recorded!

Dev Chat

  • You can check for the next scheduled Dev Chat in EteRNA News, also accessible through the Community drop-down menu at the top of the page.  
  • Login or Register at the bottom left. Then you can ask developers questions using Chat, which is accessible at the top right.
  • Record and access transcripts in this Dev Chat Archive.

GitHub

  • Once a bug or feature has been approved for exploration during Dev Chat, it will be entered by the developers into EteRNA GitHub
  • Browse, or use the Search field at the top left-center of the screen.

 

OVERVIEW

Here is a summary to map out the global workflow

  1. Players use the Issues portal to Research & Communicate.
  2. Players use the Forums & Issue Template to Track issues
  3. Players use the Issue Roadmap to update global Priority, Status, etc... of issues.
  4. Players & Devs use Dev Chat to consult about high priority issues, referencing the Issue Roadmap.
  5. Players or Devs use the Wiki Dev Chat page to archive transcripts.
  6. Players or Devs use the Issue Roadmap to update agreed upon Priority, Status, etc... after Dev Chat.
  7. Players keep Forums updated with granular details.
  8. Devs keep GitHub updated, with option to pull action items & details from Forums & Issue Roadmap. 
  9. Devs use ??? to update players when an issue is resolved. ( Looking into Issue Roadmap for central reporting. )
