Canonical bond

Canonical bonds are those formed between base pairs as described by Watson and Crick

That is AU bond, GC bond and GU bond. Other bonds are not displayed directly in the EteRNA model, and some are instead factored into the free energy reported. These are termed noncanonical bonds
