KA-BOOOM!!!

Jennifer Pearl: yay  [11:52 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: I always love tehe KA-BOOOM!!!!!  [11:53 AM]

Elves: congrats on the paper Jen!! big high five :D [11:58 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: thanks [11:59 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: di you read it yet. your mentioned init [11:59 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: about the loop thing [12:00 AM]

Elves: nice! thanks :) i have not read it yet, i'll check it out [12:00 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: 51 pages of mostly plots [12:01 AM]

Astromon: great jen glad to hear it [12:01 AM]

Elves: lol awesome. data banquet [12:01 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: yes [12:01 AM]

Astromon: oH cooLgot a link to it [12:01 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: it is also a GetSAt in teh switch strategy market [12:01 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: https://getsatisfaction.com/eternagame/topics/-switch-strategy-market-ideal-fmn-ms2-riboswitches-fmn-binding-site-stacks-and-minimum-pairing-probabilities [12:02 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: you can get to the PDF of the paper adn the raw data form there [12:02 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: the getsat is idnetical to the paper  [12:02 AM]

Astromon: cooL ill read it tonight [12:03 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: cool [12:03 AM]

Elves: that's an incredible job you pulled Jen, wow!! [12:03 AM]

Astromon: w0ot!! wo0t!! [12:04 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: thank. Took me a week to write. I wanted to add more but i am going to arite a nother one to dicsuss another thing and bring it together [12:04 AM]

Astromon: hmm a paper modulation nice [12:05 AM]

Elves: it's good to break things down into concrete areas of focus, nice approach [12:05 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: thanks. I did not want to risk losing focus of the main goal of the paper [12:05 AM]

Astromon: thats why i love the little links at wiki [12:05 AM]

Elves: ohh i see, i think i have in email a massive spreadsheet of lab data, but did not see the paper. [12:06 AM]

Elves: but i am grabbing it from the getsat link [12:06 AM]

Elves: thanks!! [12:06 AM]

Elves: the link is missing the dot in .pdf [12:07 AM]

Elves: or just taking a long time to load for me maybe [12:07 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: are you not able to open it [12:07 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: I just opened it on my computer [12:07 AM]

Elves: ok i got it [12:07 AM]

Elves: my internet must not have had its coffee yet [12:08 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: lol\ [12:08 AM]

Astromon: mine opened wow looks like alot of data [12:09 AM]

Astromon: haha [12:09 AM]

easykent: How do I get to the dev chat at 12pm? [12:09 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: yeah in total it is 51 pages but I think only 5 or 6 is actuall words [12:09 AM]

Astromon: your there [12:09 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: we are waitng for more people to join us [12:09 AM]

Astromon: this is it, hi easy [12:09 AM]

Elves: wow Jen those graphs have some great cluster patterns! nice! [12:09 AM]

easykent: Oh...Thanks [12:10 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: right!!! [12:10 AM]

Astromon: yeaH i know how to read them noW!! [12:10 AM]

easykent: Hi Astromon [12:10 AM]

Elves: what is the 30 / 60 score clustering caused by? I think you or Rhiju identified that but I forget [12:11 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: i think that this may help to demonstrate that DPAT can be used to pickout ideal structures [12:11 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: he said it was an artifact of teh scoring system adn they are designs that do horribly [12:11 AM]

rhiju: hi everyone  [12:11 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: hi rhiju [12:11 AM]

rhiju: jen, did you post a link to some graphs? [12:11 AM]

Elves: hello! [12:11 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: i posted alink to a paper [12:12 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: and getsat [12:12 AM]

Astromon: hi rhiju [12:12 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: https://getsatisfaction.com/eternagame/topics/-switch-strategy-market-ideal-fmn-ms2-riboswitches-fmn-binding-site-stacks-and-minimum-pairing-probabilities [12:12 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: i finsihed my paper on ideal FMN MS2 binding site stack lengths and pairing probabilities for the small and large loop binding sites [12:13 AM]

rhiju: cool! [12:13 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: of the the NG labs using data from rounds 1 adn 3 [12:13 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: I and 2 [12:13 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: 51 page of mostly plots [12:14 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: took me a week [12:14 AM]

Elves: Jen has done an extraordinary amount of work pulling all that together!! [12:14 AM]

Astromon: i am exited to have all this data to help mode my futere designs [12:15 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: I just wish I got it done befoer the lab closed [12:15 AM]

easykent: Yeah...Looks very interesting! [12:16 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: I used Sara to submitt 80 designs that used what is in th4e paper for the inverted SSNG1 [12:17 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: they should be high scorers. did not get predicted bad in that sublab which I wish I had doen to make it more scientific [12:18 AM]

Astromon: what round was that called anyways 100? [12:19 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: i cant remember [12:23 AM]

Elves: hey Jen what does Sara stand for?  [12:23 AM]

rhiju: have any of you folks looked through the prototype of the new puzzle progression?   http://medicine.eternadev.org [12:23 AM]

rhiju: we're hoping to switch over next week!  [12:23 AM]

Elves: let's all check it out now! [12:23 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: Sara stands for Smart RNA Modified [12:24 AM]

LFP6: *Sigh* I still haven't psoted my thoughts [12:23 AM]

rhiju: Feedback can go to https://getsatisfaction.com/eternagame/topics/new-puzzle-progression or PM to bekeep [12:24 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: Modifier [12:24 AM]

LFP6: I might just psot my half-thought out thoughts [12:24 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: checking out the site now [12:24 AM]

Astromon: i solved one of the last puzzles in that [12:24 AM]

Astromon: i havnt made a new name yet [12:25 AM]

Astromon: will i need a new name  [12:25 AM]

Jennifer Pearl: im likeing it so far [12:26 AM]

Elves: the colors and layout are really nice [12:26 AM]

rhiju: @astromon -- would be most valuable for us if you register with a new name, pretending to be a new user ... [12:26 AM]

Elves: the opening Welcome to Eterna blurb is a little complex for a new user [12:26 AM]

Astromon: i llike how it trains in the lab [12:27 AM]

Astromon: hmm  Okayt then ill do it [12:27 AM]

LFP6-2: The new main page when registered is a little... interesting. It was cleaner before [12:27 AM]

Elves: i think the rainbow laser lights are stronger than before, but i like that [12:27 AM]

Elves: :) [12:27 AM]

Elves: i really like the clean font and contrast of colors against the dark blue panel http://prntscr.com/9wj6gi [12:28 AM]

Astromon: can i use my same pw [12:28 AM]

Astromon: as my astro account [12:28 AM]

LFP6: There's one little guy kinda hanging out by itself lol http://prntscr.com/9wj6gb [12:28 AM]

Elves: Nucleotide Mixer level 3 of 10, the popup just says "locked bases" but nothing more [12:28 AM]

LFP6-2: A lot of them are like that [12:28 AM]

JenTest1: Im chatting from teh new site [12:29 AM]

JenTest1: yay [12:29 AM]

LFP6-2: TOo much of a lack of explanation for ym taste [12:29 AM]

Elves: so one may conclude the keys are locked bases but a new player doesn't know what a base is or the purpose of locking [12:29 AM]

JenTest1: i agree [12:29 AM]

JenTest1: about the locked bases [12:30 AM]

Astromon-2: hi im  new [12:30 AM]

Elves: i see the language "you've unlocked xyz mode". that does help provide a sense of achievement and increasing access, and gates out complexity of the UI as the user learns about each item. it's kind of like WoW... [12:30 AM]

...actually :D

Astromon-2: :D [12:31 AM]

rhiju: haha, jentest & lfp6-2, revenge of the clones [12:30 AM]

Elves: lol welcome newAstro [12:30 AM]

JenTest1: lol [12:31 AM]

Astromon-2: yaya i have my pionts and rank! [12:31 AM]

Elves: lol rhiju [12:31 AM]

JenTest1: im ranked 64000 cool. jsut a little work to get to where I was att. Looks at teh ground and kicks a rock [12:32 AM]

Astromon-2: so what about my profile must i do it all again [12:32 AM]

rhiju: @elves or @jen can you make sure to save this chatlog, and PM bekeep and post in getsat with the link -- then the dev team will be able to consider the suggestions & make comments [12:32 AM]

Elves: i assume natural mode is explained after target mode. if not, a word about natural mode would be helpful to contrast why you have these toggles http://prntscr.com/9wj8n3 [12:32 AM]

Astromon-2: where are the labs here? [12:32 AM]

rhiju: @astromon-2, no you won't have to remake your profile... [12:32 AM]

Elves: @rhiju definitely! i think if we look together now, we will get more eyes on it [12:32 AM]

Astromon-2: cooL [12:33 AM]

rhiju: @astromon-2, actually you are playing to earn the labs. we are working to make that clearer, but if you have suggestions for how to do that, please type here! [12:33 AM]

JenTest1: I have somehting I just came across [12:33 AM]

Elves: anyone who can help look at this new game UI, it will go Live next week!! http://medicine.eternadev.org/ [12:33 AM]

Elves: please help us find bugs :D [12:33 AM]

JenTest1: when I go to the labs it says I needs more tools to use it but when I hover over teh beakers it does not tell me what I need to do [12:34 AM]

JenTest1: I have no idea waht i need to do [12:34 AM]

LFP6: If anyone wants to look at 6 page of spit that is currently in the middle of rewriting :P  [12:34 AM]

LFP6: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UnsEPDnQNf9KsbN58vVUhsIqxGqroiGEKy7pfPFrNLk/edit?usp=sharing [12:34 AM]

Astromon-2: seems like id be grandfathered in [12:35 AM]

JenTest1: I se teh badge thing at the bottom now but it wuold be nice if hovering over the vials did something [12:36 AM]

LFP6: Will there be founder V3? XD [12:35 AM]

LFP6: badge [12:35 AM]

JenTest1: I jsut glanced through the doc looks very thourough [12:36 AM]

rhiju: great, everyone, please keep posting issues & comments.  [12:37 AM]

Astromon-2: h [12:37 AM]

Elves: hmm, puzzle 5 asks for a solve that is not intuuitive if you don't know the 3 basic base pairs and their strengths. maybe I'm blanking on the first puzzle content, but did it already explain that red green is... [12:38 AM]

...strongest for example? http://prntscr.com/9wjb1u

Elves: i do like the use of pics in the right panel to explain [12:38 AM]

Elves: also there is no way to go back and review past puzzle content? [12:38 AM]

Elves: for example if i get stuck or take a week or month break and ome back, will i be able to review or redo the original puzzles even after completion [12:39 AM]

LFP6: A lot of things are explained in hints and puzzle end screnes [12:38 AM]

LFP6: If at all [12:39 AM]

JenTest1: there has been a few times where there is an arrow pointing to something but no explanantion [12:39 AM]

Astromon: will i be able to be astromon origonal in the new setup once it stars? [12:39 AM]

LFP6: Yes [12:39 AM]

Astromon: YAY [12:39 AM]

JenTest1: would be better if it said click here or select a red nuc [12:39 AM]

Elves: yes, like an arrow pointing at the red nucleotide but not saying to click on it [12:39 AM]

LFP6: The dev site uses an old copy of the DB [12:39 AM]

Elves: @Jen exactly [12:39 AM]

Astromon: cooL thanks [12:40 AM]

LFP6: When it lanuches, they'll use the current one [12:39 AM]

JenTest1: also I just ran into the locked bases adn no explanantion what  alocked base is [12:40 AM]

JenTest1: as elves mentioned earler [12:40 AM]

JenTest1: earlier [12:40 AM]

Elves: e.g. "A locked base cannot be mutated to another nucleotide." [12:41 AM]

JenTest1: so on level 5 of 10 I had to tottally change an entire base pair adn would not have known what to do without already knowing this stuff [12:42 AM]

calebgeniesse: hello, dev here! ready for some real-time bug fixing? [12:41 AM]

LFP6: Sure :) [12:41 AM]

JenTest1: there ahs been no real explanantion of what base pairs are "legal" [12:42 AM]

Elves: "... This can help you narrow down which bases do need to be changed to achieve the desired shape / structure. Also, some lab goals require certain nucleotides to remain the same." [12:42 AM]

Elves: @Jen ok thanks for confirmation [12:42 AM]

Elves: I thought i was forgetting or something [12:42 AM]

Elves: so that is critical [12:42 AM]

Astromon: http://prntscr.com/9wje9x [12:43 AM]

calebgeniesse: sorry about those vials... was testing out a new look, and i didn't realize how much traffic we had [12:42 AM]

Elves: mainly the red-green is most stable, blue yellow mid, blue red weak. that is critical path initial concept [12:43 AM]

Astromon: not sure how to proceed at this piont^ [12:43 AM]

Elves: otherwise user hits puzzle 5 and could be lost without brute forcing options [12:43 AM]

Elves: hi Caleb! thanks and yes please :D [12:43 AM]

JenTest1: i only remember being told waht the nuc types were and we did GU adn GC pairs but it was not explained these are the two pairs that use a G [12:43 AM]

calebgeniesse: you don't see a next puzzle button? [12:43 AM]

JenTest1: I agree elves [12:44 AM]

Astromon: http://prntscr.com/9wje9x [12:44 AM]

JenTest1: need to explain strenght of bonds [12:44 AM]

calebgeniesse: where is the bottom half of the window? [12:44 AM]

Astromon: http://prntscr.com/9wjfk8 [12:45 AM]

JenTest1: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/87351147/window%20size%20off.JPG [12:45 AM]

Astromon: i can click the puzzle name link [12:45 AM]

Elves: also we have only option to paint with single nucleotide colors instead of pair bonds. painting with base pairs makes that concept really clear [12:45 AM]

Elves: painting with individual nucleotides is actually the more advanced concept [12:45 AM]

JenTest1: when I solve a puzzle the window size changes and stuff is cut off [12:46 AM]

JenTest1:  here is the link to screenshot [12:46 AM]

JenTest1: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/87351147/window%20size%20off.JPG [12:46 AM]

calebgeniesse: can you scroll down? it looks like the bottom part of the game is being cut off [12:46 AM]

Astromon: nope i cant [12:46 AM]

LFP6: @Caleb: Yes to the "roadmap", but that was kinda crowded. Shrink down the main task a bit, maybe do 4 in a row, and add buttons to the sides so you can scroll through [12:46 AM]

JenTest1: no scrolling [12:46 AM]

LFP6: Once you complete everything though, it doesn't make much sense to only be left with "side-projects" though... [12:46 AM]

Elves: so puzzle 6 the user has to select red, paint one nuc red, then select green and paint correct pair nuc green. whereas if having base pair access, can deduce more quickly solution even without explanation. [12:46 AM]

LFP6: @Jen: Why no scrolling? [12:46 AM]

Astromon: hmmM [12:47 AM]

LFP6: You don't realyl care much about all your completed/upcoming tasks past a couple [12:47 AM]

Elves: as it is, the user really ha to already grasp how to compose a strong base pair on their own. [12:47 AM]

LFP6: Perhaps am "expansion" where it shows the whole roadmap only once you expand it [12:47 AM]

Elves: especially since the starting string is not all yellow, but tricks you with appearing to already be complete with AU pairs [12:47 AM]

Elves: for puzzle 6, for example [12:48 AM]

LFP6: Yeah, agreed with not udnerstanding how to compose a base pair [12:48 AM]

LFP6: *understanding [12:48 AM]

Astromon: i have completeed the first puzzle but not sure how to go to the next step<< [12:48 AM]

Elves: oh i see, completing that unlocks base pair tool [12:48 AM]

JenTest1: after i solve a puzzle and it shoes me muy score and the button to clck on for the next puzzle parts are cut off and I cant scroll down [12:48 AM]

LFP6: Even still [12:48 AM]

Elves: that seems backwards [12:48 AM]

Astromon: me too Jen<< [12:49 AM]

Elves: i really like the fun facts and pics in the right panel 'this is a hairpin' etc. [12:49 AM]

calebgeniesse: it looks like there is a problem with the images we've added to the mission cleared screens.. using fixed sizes is probably not a very good idea [12:49 AM]

JenTest1: ok i am now in a loop [12:49 AM]

LFP6: I'd argue that using fixed sizes for anything on the website isn't smart [12:49 AM]

LFP6: Go fluid/responsive [12:49 AM]

Elves: ok. make puzzle 7 puzzle 5 or 6, and ulock individual nuc access instead of unlocking base pair access [12:50 AM]

LFP6: EteRNA's design has always been easy to adjust to that [12:50 AM]

Elves: *unlock [12:50 AM]

Elves: lol [12:50 AM]

JenTest1: so I am in a perpetual loop doing puzle 4 adn 5  [12:51 AM]

JenTest1: the button to go to puzzle 6 is gone [12:51 AM]

JenTest1: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/87351147/no%20next%20puzzle%20button.JPG [12:51 AM]

Astromon: im still on the first puzzle<<cant get to the second [12:52 AM]

JenTest1: i am stuck now [12:51 AM]

JenTest1: cant go any futher [12:52 AM]

calebgeniesse: i'll see what i can do! but, the images are being displayed by the flash, and the flash only accepts a limited subset of html [12:52 AM]

Elves: when i change the size of the screen by click dragging sides of web browser, I get lots and lots of pretty bubbles. alas, this causes my CPU temp to rapidly jump to 83 degrees Celsius http://prntscr.com/9wjj2d [12:52 AM]

Astromon: whoe! [12:53 AM]

Elves: is each bubble a separate object? i just realized we are still in flash. no html5? [12:53 AM]

LFP6: @Caleb: I'm not just talking the game, but the site as a whole. The game is less important, assuming it will go to HTML at some point [12:53 AM]

JenTest1: found the button iut was literally hiding behind my task bar. I had to move it to vertical to access it [12:54 AM]

LFP6: The EteRNA site & game have never adjusted well to screen size. [12:54 AM]

LFP6: I'd like to see that changed, starting with the site [12:54 AM]

Astromon: oH [12:55 AM]

calebgeniesse: wow, thats a lot of bubbles [12:54 AM]

Elves: yeah, that is Firefox btw [12:55 AM]

Astromon: moving my taskbar to the top didnt work [12:55 AM]

calebgeniesse: @LFP6: I agree! and I think the site is a good place to start [12:55 AM]

Elves: also i don't know if only happened after resize window but now the top text is cut off Mission Accomplished http://prntscr.com/9wjkvs [12:55 AM]

JenTest1: @elves I have teh same thing consistently [12:56 AM]

Astromon: i saw where play now wasnt centerd inside the green button [12:56 AM]

Elves: ohh hmm thanks Jen. i'll look at the next one [12:56 AM]

Elves: can everyone please say which browser they are using? [12:56 AM]

JenTest1: sometimes ahve to go on a rescue mission to find the button to proceed to next puzz;e [12:56 AM]

JenTest1: puzzle [12:56 AM]

JenTest1: Chrome [12:56 AM]

Astromon: ie [12:57 AM]

Astromon: maybe we can make it part of the game Find the missing button haha [12:57 AM]

Elves: awesome :D [12:57 AM]

JenTest1: waht are you usin elves? [12:57 AM]

Elves: so my window froze, I could not get response on clicking the X by Mission Accomplished and saw no next button. resizing window did not help. [12:58 AM]

Elves: Firefox [12:58 AM]

Elves: I clicked reload the page and it booted me back to puzzle 1 [12:58 AM]

JenTest1: I get eh same thing but i go back to puzzle 5 now [12:58 AM]

Elves: to start over. however i am a guest / anonymous [12:58 AM]

JenTest1: was puzzle 4 but that changed after I closed and re-entered the puzzles [12:59 AM]

Elves: and i got 86C temp on my macbook pro with third party software boosting up the fan speed to cool it... [12:59 AM]

LFP6: @caleb: Could we maybe remove the white boxes? It's a little... Much. I'm thinking that as the UI goes more modern, think more along the lines of bootstrap and amterial design [12:59 AM]

JenTest1: Was on puzzle 6 and refresshed the screen and I ma back to puzzle 5 but wiht all teh nucs mutated so I just have to swithc to natural mode to solve [1:00 PM]

Elves: @Caleb fyi there have been issues in the past overheating ( melting down ) macs in particular due to flash shenanigans [1:00 PM]

Astromon: I like how it explains we will become an rna scientist!!! [1:00 PM]

Elves: http://prntscr.com/9wjn2h i think the intro text could be simpler [1:00 PM]

calebgeniesse: let me try moving the next puzzle button higher up [1:00 PM]

LFP6: What's the melting point of a mac? :) [1:00 PM]

Astromon: helps with motivation good wording<> [1:00 PM]

Elves: @astro is build a virtual lab too technical of a concept for new user or does that make you interested? [1:00 PM]

JenTest1: @LFP6 apparently EteRNA hot [1:00 PM]

Astromon: it makes me interested indeed [1:01 PM]

Elves: LOL lfp6 [1:01 PM]

Astromon: haha [1:01 PM]

JenTest1: its a feature You can cook your egs on teh same mac you make RNA with [1:01 PM]

Elves: the melting point of a mac is approximately equal to ten browser tabs running eterna open for more than 3 hours. that's a guess though [1:01 PM]

JenTest1: cook your eggs [1:01 PM]

Astromon: haha [1:02 PM]

Elves: mmm. macbookeggs. [1:02 PM]

LFP6: EteRNA's lazin hot [1:02 PM]

LFP6: *blazin [1:02 PM]

LFP6: wow [1:02 PM]

JenTest1: right deliciuos with a touch of RNA [1:03 PM]

Astromon: sara can pick the best eggs for eating [1:04 PM]

Elves: hahaha Jen. I saw nucleotides in a spray bottle at a health food store the other day, as a supplement [1:04 PM]

JenTest1: wow [1:04 PM]

JenTest1: thats cool [1:04 PM]

Elves: i was like really? can das lab please verify lol [1:04 PM]

rhiju: nucleotides in pure form are expensive [1:04 PM]

LFP6: I'm thinking that the side-quests should be less "hey, go solve some challenge puzzles" and more "hey, go beat this challenge" [1:04 PM]

JenTest1: that woudl be funny. "EXcuse me I had these tested adn there are only 50% Guanine adn not Adenine anywere here. I want my money back!" [1:05 PM]

LFP6: (challenge != challenge puzzle) [1:04 PM]

machinelephants: mwuah hahahaha [1:05 PM]

JenTest1: is that you elves? [1:05 PM]

machinelves: yes, yes it is [1:05 PM]

Astromon: and the melting piont was below 50 [1:06 PM]

JenTest1: cool [1:06 PM]

JenTest1: nice name [1:06 PM]

Elves: thanks :D [1:06 PM]

Elves: thanks Rhiju. It seemed too good to be true.  [1:06 PM]

Astromon: kind of like star wars Walkers [1:07 PM]

JenTest1: this keeps nagging at me. There really is not much explanation about RNA and in puzzle 6 I already had to do stuff that was cinfusing to me at first.I ahd to think about it for a second. I am no [1:07 PM]

Elves: plus i wondered how they were bonding in the bottle [1:07 PM]

Astromon:    im still on level 1                                                                                                                                                                                                                             [1:09 PM]

JenTest1: I think that the introductions and stuff laid out in teh mission accomplished screen is kinda alot [1:09 PM]

JenTest1: it is overwhelming adn I jsut now realized it had good stuff in it. [1:10 PM]

JenTest1: I think that that info should be in teh start or just before the end and make someone have to acknowlege reading it [1:10 PM]

Elves: fyi i'm getting the survey popup on signup [1:10 PM]

Astromon: me too [1:11 PM]

LFP6: Yep [1:11 PM]

LFP6: I think that's a little old XD [1:11 PM]

LFP6: Ok, rework of my comments is done [1:11 PM]

LFP6: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UnsEPDnQNf9KsbN58vVUhsIqxGqroiGEKy7pfPFrNLk/edit?usp=sharing [1:11 PM]

Elves: ok succeeding solving a puzzle jumps me from 70 to 78 C temp in a matter of 2 seconds [1:12 PM]

Elves: due to massive bubblez [1:12 PM]

calebgeniesse: @Astromon: http://medicine.eternadev.org/web/puzzle/3390208/ [1:12 PM]

calebgeniesse: if i moved the next puzzle button above the rankscroll, would that help in most cases? [1:13 PM]

Elves: i'm not sure how i got past puzzle 7 because i started over, created an account, then it dropped me in at puzzle 8 probably thanks to cookies that work now but did not register earlier when simply reloading the page [1:13 PM]

calebgeniesse: thats not good at all [1:13 PM]

JenTest1: fireofx has flash disbled by default so on to IE [1:14 PM]

Astromon-2: hi red [1:19 PM]

Elves: hi Red! want to help squash bugs in the new eterna game? http://medicine.eternadev.org [1:19 PM]

calebgeniesse: is everyone getting stuck because of the "next puzzle" button? Or are there other issues? [1:21 PM]

Elves: on puzzle 9, swap lesson, could say specifically click on swap tool, and also why it helps. that bases like balance and symmetry for stability, and swapping bases to alternate will help you balance out the... [1:21 PM]

...energy distribution of the molecule

Astromon: thats why I'm stuck<< [1:21 PM]

RedSpah: dunno if a bug or not [1:21 PM]

RedSpah: but when "mission accomplished" thing is up I can't press next on the tutorial [1:22 PM]

Astromon: oH ty for the link tyo the next puzzle CaleB [1:22 PM]

JenTest1: execpt maybe emoational support [1:23 PM]

RedSpah: if you fill all non-locked bases with U, and refresh, you won't be able to undo them and you're stuck [1:23 PM]

RedSpah: since A is locked [1:24 PM]

Elves: also i'm not able to click next button on original popup http://prntscr.com/9wk0e6 [1:24 PM]

Astromon: http://prntscr.com/9wk0gw [1:24 PM]

Elves: however next puzzle button works [1:24 PM]

Astromon: haha [1:25 PM]

RedSpah: sadness [1:25 PM]

JenTest1: *grabs the box an runs into corner to play with them* [1:25 PM]

Elves: that's funny, as anonymous in safari, it remembers me completing these puzzles but still has me initiate doing them anyway, while retaining my sequence solves [1:25 PM]

Elves: aahhahahahah [1:25 PM]

Elves: oh dear my UI went fishing http://prntscr.com/9wk1pt [1:26 PM]

Elves: *missing [1:26 PM]

JenTest1: I need to run off soon [1:28 PM]

JenTest1: myslef [1:28 PM]

Astromon: Okay [1:29 PM]

Elves: i think if you have already cached solves, the dialogue popup boxes get out of sync http://prntscr.com/9wk30m [1:29 PM]

Elves: like the above screenshot i'm frozen in some loop [1:29 PM]

JenTest1: @elves do you have a trick for capturing the chat log easily [1:29 PM]

JenTest1: I always have issues [1:29 PM]

Elves: next button doesn't clicky [1:29 PM]

Elves: @Jen I open a dedicated page of large chat window in eterna, then copy paste it out after [1:30 PM]

JenTest1: I will start doing that in the future [1:30 PM]

Elves: it freezes though if you have many pages open for labs puzzles etc [1:30 PM]

Elves: like 3 or less is the max [1:30 PM]

Elves: tabs [1:30 PM]

JenTest1: it is hard to copy teh chat window in small box [1:30 PM]

Elves: for chat to not freeze. i use the large box [1:30 PM]

Astromon: hmm that will be problematic i always have alot of opened puzzles [1:31 PM]

Elves: http://prntscr.com/9wk4b7 [1:31 PM]

JenTest1: brb [1:32 PM]

JenTest1: @elcves before you go can we set up a time to go over teh loop stuff for the fdot plots? [1:32 PM]

JenTest1: I want ot look into coding up complete struture analysis in DPAT [1:33 PM]

Elves: @Jen I would love to but I'm pretty busy for next week or two, so I have to play it by ear [1:34 PM]
