Amino acid

From Eterna Wiki

Amino acids are the monomer building blocks of proteins, just like bases are the building blocks of RNA.

==Protein Synthesis==

In nature, each canonical amino acid is matched with a transfer RNA (tRNA) with a particular anticodon sequence. Within the ribosome, this anticodon sequence complements the codon sequence on the messenger RNA (mRNA), allowing the amino acid monomer to be added onto the growing protein chain.
