Bacteria

From Eterna Wiki

(Redirected from Bacterium)

Bacteria (singular: bacterium) are microorganisms. Scientist often use bacteria to study how genes and life in general work. The reason why is because bacteria have a much smaller genome than humans and animals, so they are simpler to figure out things in. Additionally, they reproduce much faster, and one can't do breeding experiments in humans, for obvious ethical reasons.
